Join Maureen “Mo” McGough, co-founder of the 30x30 Initiative, Dr. Tanya Meisenholder, Director of Police Research at the NYU School of Law and former New York City Police Department Deputy Commissioner, and Brendan Cox, Chief of Police for the Albany Police Department, for a timely discussion on strengthening the police workforce and better serving communities.

Grounded in the Committee's mission to serve as a vital voice for women in local government, this webinar will highlight how advancing opportunities for women in local police departments supports municipal workforce stability and leadership development.

As cities and villages grapple with persistent staffing shortages and growing public safety demands, this session will examine how the 30x30 Initiative offers practical strategies to expand recruitment pipelines, improve retention, and build more inclusive and resilient police departments. Drawing on research and real-world experience, panelists will share insights that underscore the critical role women play in strengthening municipal workforces and advancing effective local leadership.
