GENERAL INFORMATION
TENTATIVE AGENDA

This year, the NYCOM Public Works Training School will take place at the High Peaks Resort where all sessions and meals will be held. 

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION RATE:
FULL PROGRAM: $400

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION INCLUDES:
  • Monday Welcome Reception
  • Conference Materials
  • Participation in All Training Sessions and Tradeshow Breaks
  • Reception at Mt. Hoevenberg Olympic Sports Complex (Tuesday evening)

CONFERENCE MEAL PACKAGE (dinner is on your own):
FULL MEAL PACKAGE: $180

MEAL PACKAGE INCLUDES:
  • BREAKFAST: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
  • LUNCH: Monday and Tuesday Banquet

NON-MUNICIPAL GUEST OF A MUNICIPAL OFFICIAL: 
NON-MUNICIPAL GUEST PACKAGE: $180
INCLUDES:
    • BREAKFAST: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
    • LUNCH: Monday and Tuesday (Banquet)

OFF-SITE RECEPTION: $50
   • Mt. Hoevenberg Olympic Sports Complex (Tuesday evening)

Registrations received after September 25th will increase by $15 for members and $30 for non-members.

There will be a 15% surcharge for onsite meal purchases.

REFUND POLICY
Refunds will be made in full for the conference registration fee, meal packages and add-on guest meals ONLY if you notify NYCOM no later than October 4th, 2026. For cancellations AFTER October 4th there will be a $100 administrative fee and any conference meals purchased (including add-on guest meals) are non-refundable. No-shows are also non-refundable (those not paid in advance will be invoiced following the conference).

POLICY ON ACCESS FOR THE DISABLED
The Conference of Mayors makes every effort to plan meetings that are accessible to the disabled. NYCOM requests advance notice from the registrant (including on-site registrants) so that we can make appropriate arrangements.

The attire for the meeting is casual.

AUTHORITY TO ATTEND
Local official attendance at this training event is permitted by General Municipal Law § 77-b(2), which permits a city or village to authorize attendance by “any of its members or any officer or employee … or other person who has been elected pursuant to law to a public office of a municipality for which the term of office has not commenced….” Local officials are entitled to be reimbursed for all actual and necessary costs incurred while attending this program."

TENTATIVE AGENDA

The High Peaks Resort is the meeting headquarters for the 2026 Public Works Training School. All sessions and meals are held at the High Peaks Resort.  Meeting registration opens at 8:00 a.m. and training sessions begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 19th.

MUNICIPAL ATTENDEE ROOM RATES AND RESERVATIONS

Room reservations must be made BY OCTOBER 4, 2026, after which time the room block will be released and reservations will be accepted based on availability.

HIGH PEAKS RESORT ROOM RATES:
Single: $189 per per night
Double: $189 ($94.50 + $94.50 per person/per night)

For municipal officials who are bringing a non-municipal guest and your guest would like to participate in meals, please purchase a full Meal Package for them during the meeting registration process.

BOOKING
To book online use the following LINK.  To make reservations by phone, call the High Peaks Resort at (800) 755-5598. You MUST reference the conference group code "NY Conference of Mayors" to receive the group rate. A credit card, valid at the time of the conference, is required to book a reservation. Final payment is due at checkout via credit card, debit card, or check. Please note: all guests must present a credit or debit card at the time of check-in to cover any remaining balance owed or incidental charges. Tax-exempt forms must be presented at check-in.

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be received 72 hours prior to arrival and payment in full will be charged to the credit card.
